North Houston Veterinary Ophthalmology in Spring, TX is seeking a dedicated Full-time Veterinary Technician to join our ophthalmology team. You will interact with clients, support board-certified specialists, and assist with examinations and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 3 years veterinary technician experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Proficient in venipuncture and specimen collection for lab submission.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients, doctors, and staff.
• Proficient with medical records (written and electronic).
• Experience with anesthetic induction and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Assists in ophthalmic procedures and daily patient care.
• Communicates with clients and team in stressful situations.
• Maintains accurate medical records (paper and electronic).
• Performs venipuncture and specimen collection for labs.
• Places IV catheters and monitors anesthesia as needed.
• Respects drug-free workplace and safe animal handling.
