Job summary

AmeriVet is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician for North Houston Veterinary Ophthalmology in Spring, TX. The role requires 3+ years of experience, venipuncture skills, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and strong client communication.

You will support doctors, assist with patient care, and maintain accurate medical records. Schedule: 9-hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday, with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be well-spoken.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, or bend for long periods of time.
• Must maintain a professional appearance.
• Must be able to clearly communicate with clients, doctors, and staff.
• Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Must maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Must be able to perform venipuncture.
• Must be familiar with specimen collecting for lab submission.
• Must be able to handle and restrain animals.
• Must be proficient in anesthetic induction, maintenance, and monitoring.
• Must have at least 3 years veterinary technician experience.
• Must be able to place I.V. catheters efficiently.
• Must be familiar with veterinary terminology and anatomy.
• Must be able to carry up to 40lbs unassisted.
• Must be able to maintain accurate medical records, both written and electronically
