Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Southfield, MI is seeking an exceptional Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician to diagnose and treat ophthalmic diseases in companion animals. You will assist with both outpatient and surgical ophthalmic procedures, including advanced testing and anesthesia support, in a fast-paced specialty setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic ophthalmic diagnostics and assist with advanced tests.
• Experience assisting with ophthalmic surgeries is preferred.
• Strong communication with clients and team is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic ophthalmic diagnostic tests and assist with detailed ocular exams.
• Perform advanced ophthalmic diagnostic testing.
• Set up and assist with outpatient and surgical ophthalmic procedures.
• Assist with eyelid surgeries, cataract and retinal surgeries as needed.
• Provide anesthesia/sedation support and monitor patients.
