Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct and indirect patient care during physician office visits.
  • Assist ophthalmology provider in examinations, treatments, and surgeries; prepare equipment and follow-up care.
  • Conducts vision screening tests and records results; prepares procedure room.
  • Assist with contact lens care, dispensing, and patient instruction; manage ophthalmic medications and supplies.
  • Participate in Quality Initiatives for the department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
