Job Summary
The Ophthalmic Technician IV will be responsible for conducting advanced ophthalmic technical support activities that assist the ophthalmologists, residents, and optometrists in delivering care to patients in the outpatient eye clinic. The Ophthalmic Technician IV will also conduct ophthalmic triage, support patient flow, and participate in the education of junior ophthalmic technicians and apprentices. Individuals in this position will demonstrate the highest level of ophthalmic technical knowledge and will maintain JCAHPO certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA), Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT).
