Job summary

HSHS is seeking a Scrub Tech for the Montvale Surgery Suites in Springfield, IL. The role supports the intraoperative team by preparing and monitoring equipment, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting with patient transfer and positioning.

BLS is required and an Associates degree in surgical technology is preferred. Schedule is daytime, 40 hours per week, with a 6:45 AM–3:15 PM window, at Prairie Eye Surgery Center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in surgical technology preferred.
• Graduate from a recognized surgical technology program or completed military training in surgical technology; DD214 documentation required.
• Illinois: HS diploma or GED plus 3 years working as a Surgical Technologist in healthcare may be considered in lieu of education.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor surgical equipment and maintain sterile field.
• Pass instruments and assist with patient transfer/positioning.
• Perform a variety of surgical skills and procedures.
