Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking a Scrub Technician for Ophthalmology (Surgical Technician) to support our Deer Creek Surgery Center in Overland Park, KS. This PRN role involves scrubbing for ophthalmic cases, preparing instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting surgeons and nurses in the operating room.

Responsibilities include patient setup, instrument management, safe handling of specimens, and aiding in room turnover.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of hospital operating room experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in surgical operations under supervision of Surgeons, RNs and Surgical Assistants.
• Maintains the organization and daily function of the operating room per standards and policies.
• Prepares the OR by setting up instruments, ensuring equipment works, labeling sterile solutions.
• Assists with patient transfer to PACU and helps restock the OR.
• Complies with HIPAA and safety regulations; participates in QA and training.
