UCSF Health seeks a Clinical Nurse II for the Ophthalmology outpatient clinic, caring for adult and pediatric patients with a focus on safety, education, and high-quality clinical care.

The CN II will lead nursing assessments, triage via telephone/EMR, and serve as a clinical resource for staff while ensuring adherence to house and telephone standards within the Ophthalmology subspecialties.

Qualifications

• ADN required; three years of clinical nursing experience.
• Recent two years in an Ophthalmology clinic setting.
• Strong IV insertion and management experience.
• One year of acute symptom triage via telephone or EMR.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with clinical judgement and multitask.

• Provide nursing care and education in outpatient ophthalmology.

• Perform nursing processes: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
