Job summary

Allegheny Health Network’s Surgery Institute in the Pittsburgh area seeks ophthalmology specialists and subspecialists to join our team serving Allegheny General Hospital. We welcome general ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, glaucoma, and oculoplastic surgery, with mentorship to develop skills alongside experienced physicians.

Candidates should have completed ophthalmology residency/fellowship, be board-eligible or board-certified, and hold PA medical licensure.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited residency/fellowship in ophthalmology.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in specialty/subspecialty.
• Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding clinical care in ophthalmology.
• Participate in trauma call as required.
• Contribute to teaching and education; research opportunities available if desired.
• Communicate effectively within a diverse team.
• Maintain a flexible schedule; collaborate with a team of 5 physicians.
• Support 1/5 primary Level 1 Trauma Call responsibilities.
