Position Overview

The Vanderbilt Eye Institute in Nashville, Tennessee, is actively seeking a Cornea and Uveitis specialist to join our current faculty of 2 Corneal specialists and 2 Uveitis specialists. The institute is a multi-specialty academic ophthalmology practice with multiple satellite offices and an annual patient volume exceeding 150,000. An associated Veteran's Administration Hospital is located nearby.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

• Cornea fellowship-trained and certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
• Experience and comfort in managing complex corneal conditions and surgeries, including ocular inflammation such as scleritis, ocular cicatricial pemphigoid, peripheral ulcerative keratitis, anterior uveitis, etc.
• Spend one day a week in the uveitis clinic.

This is a full-time clinician-educator or clinical-practice track Assistant Professor position. Open to recent cornea fellowship graduates (expected 2025 completion), current clinical faculty, and matched fellows. Opportunities for clinical and translational research and mentorship are available.
