Job description

Position Overview

Primary Location: Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC), Cincinnati, OH. Department: Ophthalmology. Shift: Day. Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week. FTE: 1 Employee. Status: Regular.

Opportunity Highlights
  • Build a destination pediatric oculoplastics program and lead the strategic growth of a comprehensive pediatric oculoplastics and orbital surgery program.
  • Develop clinical centers of excellence in congenital eyelid disorders, orbital disease, lacrimal surgery, pediatric facial trauma, vascular anomalies, thyroid eye disease, anophthalmia/microphthalmia, orbital tumors, and reconstructive surgery.
  • Shape referral pathways across the region and nationally, participating in programmatic growth initiatives supported by hospital leadership.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including craniofacial surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, medical genetics, otolaryngology–head and neck surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, dermatology, oncology, vascular anomalies, endocrinology, and interventional radiology.
  • Develop specialized multidisciplinary clinics and surgical programs aligned with the candidate’s clinical and academic interests.
  • Leverage a robust referral network and program coordination resources to facilitate complex multidisciplinary evaluations and longitudinal patient management.
Qualifications
  • MD, DO, or equivalent.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Ophthalmology.
  • Fellowship training in Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio.
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, collaboration, teaching, and academic scholarship.
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated potential to build and lead innovative clinical programs is preferred.
