Job summary

Henry Ford Health System, based in Detroit, is seeking an Ophthalmology Operations Manager to oversee ambulatory ophthalmology clinics, research initiatives, and teaching functions. You will support the Director in strategic plans, financial operations, and committee representation.

You will lead teams, drive financial and operational planning, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives to advance eye care services within a premier academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years technical experience in eye care services.
• Minimum of 2 years progressive leadership responsibility.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in implementing short- and long-term plans for the department.
• Develop financial and operational planning, including budgets and pro forma analyses.
• Represent the department on internal and external committees.
• Manage and coordinate operational workgroups to achieve business objectives.
• Engage in community involvement to represent Henry Ford Health System and Henry Ford Medical Group.
• Implement Business Unit initiatives to support HFMG’s goals.
