Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit, MI, is seeking an Optometrist for OptimEyes to deliver comprehensive primary eye care across our network. You will collaborate with the Manager, General Manager, and Optometrist in Charge to meet productivity and care goals and coordinate with the Department of Ophthalmology to ensure seamless eye care delivery.

Role Overview: As an Optometrist at Henry Ford Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional primary eye care services to our patients. You will collaborate closely with the Manager, General Manager, and Optometrist in Charge to ensure seamless patient care and achieve office productivity goals. Your work will also involve coordination with the Department of Ophthalmology to provide integrated eye care solutions, supporting professional staffing, office coverage, and ancillary staff training across all locations.

What You Will Do:

• Provide comprehensive primary eye care services to patients, ensuring the highest quality of care.
• Collaborate with the Manager, General Manager, and Optometrist in Charge to meet productivity and performance goals.
• Work with the Department of Ophthalmology to ensure seamless delivery of eye care services.
• Support professional staffing and office coverage needs across all locations.
• Assist in the training of ancillary staff to maintain high standards of patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a program from an accredited school or college of optometry.
• Previous direct patient care experience in comprehensive primary care optometry.
• Licensed as an Optometrist in the State of Michigan.
• Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agent (T.P.A.) and Diagnostic Pharmaceutical Agent (D.P.A.) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in community-based healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with integrated eye care models.
