Role Overview

As the Optometrist In Charge, you will lead and coordinate professional optometry services, ensuring each patient receives the best possible care. You will collaborate with the General Manager, Ophthalmology Service Chief, and Medical Director to maximize office productivity, promote seamless eye care delivery, and oversee clinical support staff training and quality improvement activities.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure optimal patient care and office performance.
  • Work with the Ophthalmology Service Chief or Medical Director to deliver seamless eye care services.
  • Coordinate professional staffing and office coverage to meet patient needs.
  • Develop and monitor quality benchmarks and outcomes for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee clinical support staff training to maintain high standards of care.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a program from an accredited school or college of optometry.
  • Licensed as an Optometrist in the State of Michigan.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as an Optometrist.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agent (T.P.A.) and Diagnostic Pharmaceutical Agent (D.P.A.) certification.
