Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Clinical Scientist in Ophthalmology to drive medical data review processes and support protocol execution. This role interfaces with Medical Directors, study teams and external experts to ensure rigorous scientific validity and patient safety across development programs.

The position emphasizes data integrity, regulatory compliance, and proactive risk management, with collaboration across Clinical Operations, Data Management and Pharmacovigilance in a dynamic biopharma

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical data review and medical data interpretation.
• Strong collaboration with medical directors and study teams.
• Ability to manage data quality, safety reviews and governance.

Responsibilities

• Works with Medical Director to develop medical plans and coordinates input from experts.
• Performs regular and ad-hoc medical review of data listings and visualizations.
• Authors medical data queries and reviews query responses with Medical Director.
• May assist with patient profiles review and protocol deviation reviews.
• Partners with Medical Directors for meetings including slide preparation.
• Manages scope of work, milestones, and interface with customers and vendors.
• Collaborates with Clinical Ops, Data Management, Drug Safety and PV on risk issues.
• Attends Trusted Process meetings and may participate in audits.
• Adheres to ICH, GCP and enterprise policies in project plans.
