Responsibilities

  • Greet patients in person or by telephone and collect medical histories.
  • Perform opening examination tests and prepare equipment for physician.
  • Assist with surgical and non-surgical ophthalmic procedures and arrange instruments.
  • Proficient use of the electronic health record for ophthalmic evaluations.
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle filing and prior authorizations.
  • Coordinate and manage clinic inventory and liaise with pharmacies for refills.
