Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is helping ophthalmology specialists find locum tenens assignments in the New York area. This outpatient clinic role offers 3-4 days per week for a 6-8 week stretch with a high patient load and no hospital privileges required.

Responsibilities include eye exams, photo interpretations, SLTs, YAG lasers, iridotomies, visual fields and OCTs; travel and housing expenses are pre-paid, with paid malpractice and 24-hour consultant support.

Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient ophthalmology clinics.
• Ability to perform eye exams and interpret photos.
• Familiar with SLTs, YAG lasers, and iridotomies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and interpret images (photos, visual fields, OCT).
• Perform SLTs, YAG lasers, and iridotomies as needed.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and leave coverage.
