Job summary

Vision NYC is seeking a comprehensive ophthalmologist with strong cataract and anterior segment skills to join our growing team across Manhattan and Queens. Fellowship training in cornea and external disease, anterior segment surgery, or glaucoma is strongly preferred, though qualified comprehensive ophthalmologists with excellent surgical training are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Must have completed an accredited ophthalmology residency program.
• Board certification or eligibility in ophthalmology.
• Eligible for or hold NY medical license and credentialing.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and appropriate surgical training.

Responsibilities

• Develop a busy medical and surgical practice with established referrals.
• Treat a broad range of pathologies, focusing on cataract and anterior segment care.
• Grow subspecialty areas based on training and interests (cornea, anterior segment, glaucoma).
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, technicians, and staff across two NYC locations.
