Job summary

US Eye is seeking a motivated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team and deliver world-class eye care. This role may involve travel between University Park, Sarasota, Pelican Plaza and Siesta as part of patient support and testing.

The technician will perform patient workups and ophthalmic testing including history taking, scribing, visual acuity, lensometry, tonometry, motility, visual fields, pupil assessment and dilation as needed, while assisting with clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional environment with a strong customer service focus.
• Prior experience in the medical field preferred.
• High school or equivalent education required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care per company standards and policies.
• Performs stocking and maintenance of exam and procedure rooms.
• Maintains exam rooms per policy and supports clerical tasks.
• Records patient information in EMR and scans pertinent data.
• Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates respectful interaction with patients.
• Contributes to positive work environment and supports staff development.
• Adheres to laws, regulations, and the Compliance Program.
