Job summary

Southgate Surgery Center is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician with training provided to join our dedicated eye-care team. You will assist in patient preparation, vital signs, record keeping, and post-operative support under the supervision of a nurse and physician.

This full-time position (30 hours/week) offers a stable schedule from Monday to Friday, with no late nights, weekends, holidays or on-call shifts. Benefits include comprehensive coverage, PTO, 401k, and certification reimbursements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• COA/COT certification preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and assist with patient transport.
• Maintain aseptic technique at all times.
• Assist in stocking OR supplies and manage inventory.
• Assist in pre-op and post-op procedures.
• Document results in medical records.
• Assist physician during laser procedures.
