Southgate Surgery Center in Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant (Ophthalmic Technician) with training provided. The role supports ophthalmology patients, performs routine vitals, prepares exam rooms, and assists physicians during laser procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum required: High school diploma or GED.
• One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Monitors vital signs and assists in patient transport.
• Maintains aseptic technique and proper handling of contaminated items.
• Assists in stocking OR supplies and inventory management.
• Pre-op and post-op instruction support and patient education.
