Responsibilities

Provides excellent customer service and establishes rapport with patients.
Takes thorough case history and documents background medical/ocular conditions.
Captures intraocular pressure and records accurately.
Records visual acuities using Snellen, Lea, and HOTV methods.
Inputs data using auto-refractor and lensometer into EMR.
Applies dilation drops as directed by optometrist/ophthalmologist.
Maintains patient records and ensures infection control in exam rooms.
Provides translation services and assists patients in understanding care instructions.
Verifies insurance information and authorizations for exams/materials.
