EyeSouth Partners LLC is seeking an ophthalmic technician for Houston Retina Associates in the greater Houston area. The role supports ophthalmologists with data gathering, testing, and patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will handle chart reviews, exam data entry, and medication administration while contributing to patient education and efficient clinic operations. Join a collaborative team focused on high-quality vision care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Nextech/ICP experience strongly preferred.
• Ophthalmic/optometric technician experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform testing ordered by physician and determined by exam type or history.
• Enter data into electronic medical records.
• Take ocular and systemic history and record visual acuity.
• Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications under physician direction.
• Assist with simple in-office procedures and obtain informed consent.
• Educate patients and maintain exam room cleanliness and order.
• Comply with practice procedures, protocols, and regulations.
• Report inventory needs and participate in team meetings.
• Maintain professional attitude and teamwork.
