Job summary

Austin Community College is seeking a Certified Ophthalmic Technician in Rapid City, SD. In this role, you will perform preliminary screening exams, assist with ophthalmic testing, and support minor surgical procedures.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $16.50 - $26.50

Hours: 7:30am - 5:00pm (Monday - Friday)

Job Summary

Perform preliminary screening examinations and tests to facilitate diagnosis and treatment by the provider. Posses and perform skills in ophthalmic testing as part of medical/surgical evaluation by physician. Support of clinic based, injection and minor surgical ophthalmic procedures.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate of an accredited ophthalmic technician program or equivalent experience and be a Certified Ophthalmic Technician. Extensive knowledge in ophthalmic pharmacology, refractometry, and general patient care required. Must demonstrate the ability to perform advanced ophthalmic testing and procedures at a skilled level in accordance with COT certification. Basic Life Support Certification required.

Must maintain necessary JCAHPO requirements for Certified Ophthalmic Technician re-certification.
