Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician in Gilbert, AZ to support ophthalmologists by performing initial testing and preparing patients for exams. You will deliver excellent patient care, operate EMR systems, and help maintain exam rooms and equipment.

The role requires HIPAA compliance, strong communication, and a teamwork mindset to support clinic workflow. Education: high school diploma with 1 year related experience preferred; COA/COT optional.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED plus 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service during patient encounters (in person or via phone).
• Greet patients professionally and thank them on departure.
• Anticipate physician needs to facilitate clinic flow.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times.
• Record patient history and current medications; document in EMR.
• Operate EMR and assist with testing/preparation for exams.
• Keep exam rooms clean and stocked; assist with procedures.
