Eye Specialists of Mid-Florida is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician in Winter Haven, FL. The role focuses on providing high-quality patient care, performing histories, testing, and ensuring smooth flow of patient visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in a related field highly preferred
• Two (2) years of ophthalmology experience preferred
• Completion of an ophthalmic program within six months of employment, preferred but not required
• COT Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Consistently performs proper documentation of case history, tests and related functions as directed by the clinical physician
• Obtains eyeglass prescriptions via lensometer and conducts patient testing as directed
• Assists the physician with pharmacy calls, patient calls, and communicates doctor instructions to patients
