Responsibilities include accurate pre-testing, handling diagnostic tests, supporting laser procedures, and maintaining HIPAA compliance while coordinating with doctors and staff. This in-person role requires clear communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years experience as Ophthalmology Technician preferred.
• Typing speed 45 wpm.
• HIPAA knowledge required.
• COA/COT preferred.
• EHR experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform workups and obtain medical/surgical history.
• Educate patients and document education in charts.
• Complete diagnostic testing and pre-testing per policy.
• Triage calls and coordinate with staff.
• Assist in minor procedures and laser prep.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and back-office inventory.
• Cross-train in front/back office procedures.
