Job summary

Delaware Eye Care Center seeks a patient-focused Ophthalmic Technician for our Rudnick, DE office. The role supports ophthalmologists and optometrists in the exam lane, performs pre-exam testing, and inputs data into the EHR. Excellent communication with patients and team is essential.

Responsibilities include assisting with minor procedures, managing instruments, and ensuring proper care and safety standards. Travel to other offices may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• COA/OSC/COT certifications preferred.
• 1–2 years in a multi-specialty clinic preferred.
• Willing to travel to other offices occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist ophthalmologist and optometrist in the exam lane.
• Input data into the Electronic Health Record per physician instructions.
• Perform pre-exam testing: visual acuity, tonometry, dilation, and related duties.
• Assist with minor procedures or laser treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of instruments and equipment.
