Job summary

EyeSouth Partners seeks an Ophthalmic technician to support a high-volume ophthalmic practice across multiple offices in Georgia. You will assist with patient histories, visual acuity testing, refractions, medication administration, and EMR data entry.

Travel to different locations is required, and confidentiality as well as attention to detail are essential. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care and teamwork within a technology-forward practice.

Qualifications

• Customer service and strong interpersonal communication are essential.
• Ability to travel to other offices as required.
• Experience with ophthalmic exams and basic eye care tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Determine visual acuity.
• Perform automated refraction.
• Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigation solutions as ordered by physician.
• Enter data into EMR and provide patient services.
• Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry).
• Pre-operative patient preparation.
• Maintain equipment and instruments.
