Responsibilities

• Initiates and documents patient chief complaint and history; follows compliance guidelines.
• Performs testing: visual acuity, lensometry, pupil function, ocular motility, tonometry, and visual fields.
• Performs refractometry and draft glasses prescriptions.
• Assists with minor surgeries, injections, and laser treatments.
• Educates patients on medications and pre/post operative care.
• Opens/closes exam lanes; maintains equipment cleanliness and safety.
