Job summary

Minnesota Eye Consultants in Blaine, MN is hiring for a full-time Ophthalmic Technician at our Blaine clinic. You will perform measurements and tests to help doctors diagnose and plan treatment, working mainly with Doctors of Optometry.

Starting pay is $20.00-23.00 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule 7:30am–5:00pm and occasional half-day Saturdays; opportunities to work at other MEC locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience within an eye clinic or Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant or LPN experience.
• Optometry or Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and guests according to company standards.
• Obtain complete patient histories including chief complaint and ocular/medical history.
• Perform and document subjective and objective ophthalmic testing to support examinations.
• Educate patients regarding diagnostic testing and their clinic visit.
• Open and close exam rooms and ensure equipment is clean and ready for the doctor.
