Job summary

Eye Health America and its affiliate Carolina Centers for Sight are seeking an ophthalmic technician to assist doctors during eye examinations across our Southeast locations. You will gather patient records, take ocular measurements, and help maintain patient flow in fast-paced clinics.

Two years of work experience or Ophthalmic Assistant certification is preferred, along with a valid driver’s license. Training will be provided; overtime may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience and/or Ophthalmic Assistant.
• Active and Valid Driver's License.
• Training will be provided upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Gathering medical records and patient information.
• Taking ocular measurements, both anatomical and functional.
• Administering or preparing medications.
• Providing eye care and contact lens information to the patient.
• Maintaining and cleaning ophthalmic instruments.
• Assisting the doctors in basic procedures.
