Job summary

Carolina Centers for Sight, an affiliate of Eye Health America, is a growing ophthalmology practice seeking an ophthalmic technician. Under the clinical manager, you will assist doctors during eye examinations and support patient workups across clinic locations. Travel to different locations may be required and overtime may be needed.

The role involves taking ocular measurements, preparing medications, and maintaining instruments while guiding patients with eye care information and procedures.

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience and/or Ophthalmic Assistant experience.
• Active and Valid Driver's License.
• Adequate training will be provided upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Gathering medical records and patient information
• Taking ocular measurements, both anatomical and functional
• Administering or preparing medications
• Providing eye care and contact lens information to the patient
• Maintaining and cleaning ophthalmic instruments
• Assisting the doctors in basic procedures

Skills

Ophthalmic assistant experience

Driver's license

Education

Ophthalmic Assistant Certification (preferred)
