Azul Vision, Inc. in Santa Ana, CA is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician to perform patient workups, pre-testing and education, and to assist with laser procedures. This is a full-time, day-shift position with potential travel to multiple clinic locations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years in ophthalmology, ability to type 45 wpm, HIPAA knowledge, and preferably COA/COT or EHR experience; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Competenze

• High School diploma or its equivalent is required.
• 2+ years’ experience as Ophthalmology Technician preferred
• Ability to type 45 wpm.
• Advanced understanding of HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)/Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) preferred.
• Experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred.
• Experience in Medical scribing preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Mansioni

• Perform workups including medical and surgical history and diagnostic testing.
• Accurately perform Humphrey Visual Field, OCT scans, A-scans, and other diagnostics.
• Triage calls and educate patients in office and by phone.
• Assist in minor procedures and prepare patients for laser procedures.
• Maintain patient charts and HIPAA compliance.
