Azul Vision, Inc. seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to perform patient workups, pre-testing and diagnostic testing in our Los Angeles clinic. You’ll assist with laser procedures, educate patients, and maintain accurate medical records under HIPAA guidelines.

Travel to multiple clinic locations may be required up to 50%. Strong typing skills, 2+ years of ophthalmology experience and COA/COT certifications are preferred; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as Ophthalmology Technician preferred.
• Typing speed of 45 wpm.
• Advanced understanding of HIPAA rules and regulations.
• COA/COT certification preferred; EHR experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Complete all necessary workups including medical and surgical history and diagnostic testing.
• Perform Humphrey Visual Field, OCT scans, A-scan, Corneal Topography and related testing.
• Prepare patients for laser procedures and surgeries ordered by physicians.
• Educate patients and document information in charts; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Triage phone calls and assist in minor procedures; assist in back/front office tasks.
