Qualifications

• Experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic instruments and diagnostic procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• COT certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary eye exams and diagnostic tests (visual acuity, visual fields, tonometry).
• Prepare patients and explain procedures.
• Assist provider during exams and minor procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment, ensuring cleanliness.
• Record patient histories and document results accurately.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Follow safety and infection-control protocols.
• Collaborate with clinical team to ensure patient care.
