Job summary

UCHealth Eye Center LoDo in Denver is looking for an ophthalmic frontline professional to assist eye care providers and support patient flow. This full-time, dayshift role involves performing basic ophthalmic testing, medication administration, documentation, and onboarding support for new staff.

Qualifications

  • Must hold COA, COT, COMT or NCLEC certification to perform ophthalmic procedures.
  • High school diploma or GED required; completion of ophthalmic training or internship preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

  • Under supervision, assist with patient care and model proper workflows for new staff.
  • Perform basic ophthalmic testing, medication administration, and documentation.
  • Assist with minor procedures and manage prescription refills under provider direction.
  • Support efficient patient flow and contribute to onboarding with clinic leadership guidance.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and work effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT)
National Contact Lens Examiner Certification (NCLEC)
