Job summary

EyeCare Partners LLC is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists in providing high-quality patient care. The role involves preparing patients for exams, performing diagnostic testing, and maintaining EMR documentation.

Office hours are Monday–Friday with some weekend work; full benefits including medical, vision, dental, 401k matching, PTO and holidays are offered. Starting pay is $19/hr, with potential for higher compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Current COA/COT certification preferred but not required.
• Adheres to HIPAA confidentiality standards.
• Demonstrates strong patient care and empathy.
• Willingness to work over 40 hours and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly with a professional attitude.
• Anticipate physician needs to facilitate clinic flow.
• Perform initial testing to prepare patients for exams.
• Record patient data in EMR and verify information.
• Maintain exam rooms stocked and clean; manage supplies.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and document results accurately.
• Support the ophthalmologist during examinations and procedures.
