ReFocus Eye Health in the United States seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to support eye-care services and patient flow in a busy clinic. You will perform preliminary testing and assist in procedures, documenting histories and ensuring accurate data entry while delivering excellent patient service.

Preferred Certification includes Ophthalmic Assistant; strong teamwork and communication are essential in a fast-paced setting.

Competenze

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Certification preferred.
Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
Knowledge of medical office procedures.

Mansioni

Interview patients and document ocular and medical histories.
Perform preliminary testing: visual acuity, pupillary responses, confrontation fields, motility, stereopsis, color vision, angle assessment, refractometry and tonometry.
Perform diagnostic testing: automated perimetry, OCT, A/B scans, biometry, photography, angiography, topography and keratometry.
Assist in minor surgery procedures, laser surgery, laser refractive surgery and crosslinking.
Monitor and facilitate patient flow in the clinic and imaging rooms; collaborate with clinical staff.
Administer eye drops as required by the physician (Certification Required).
Perform clinical and administrative duties as directed.
Any other duties as assigned.
