Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health in New Jersey seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing ophthalmology team. You will support ophthalmologists with patient intake, testing, and workflow, delivering compassionate, high-quality eye care.

Responsibilities include performing preliminary tests such as visual acuity and pupil responses, assisting in procedures, and managing imaging room flow. Certification required for eye drops administration; COA preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven Ophthalmic Technician experience.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures.
• Ability to perform indirect administrative tasks contributing to workflow.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather comprehensive patient information with ophthalmologists to support diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Conduct preliminary ophthalmic testing: visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Administer diagnostic tests such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in minor surgeries and laser procedures.
• Manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops (Certification Required).
