Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health in New Jersey seeks an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our multi-specialty ophthalmology team. You will gather patient information, perform preliminary tests, and support surgeons during procedures in Union, Rahway, Belleville, and Jersey City as scheduled.

Ideal candidates will have proven ophthalmic tech experience, strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient information for accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Conduct preliminary examinations, including visual acuity and pupillary responses.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist ophthalmologists during minor surgeries and laser procedures.
• Streamline patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops (Certification Required).
• Contribute to efficient and high-quality medical practice operations.
