New York & New Jersey Eye Institute seeks a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists with comprehensive testing, patient preparation for exams and procedures, and workflow efficiency in a fast-paced practice.

The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic testing, assist during procedures, educate patients, and document findings in the EMR while maintaining equipment and rooms in excellent condition.

Formación

• Minimum 1–2 years of ophthalmic technician experience.
• Familiarity with OCT, visual fields, and fundus photography.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain patient histories and intake.
• Measure visual acuity, refraction, IOP, pupil assessment, EOMs.
• Perform and document diagnostic testing.
• Prepare patients for examinations, laser treatments, and consults.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Educate patients on medications and post-procedure care.
• Document findings in EMR/EHR.
• Maintain equipment and supplies.
