Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing ophthalmology team in New Jersey. You will work closely with our ophthalmologists to collect patient information, perform preliminary testing, and assist with diagnostic procedures in a fast-paced, patient-centered clinic.

Responsibilities include conducting OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography, supporting surgeries, and ensuring smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures.
• Bonus: COA Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather comprehensive patient information to aid diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Conduct preliminary ophthalmic tests (visual acuity, pupils, etc.).
• Perform diagnostics (OCT, perimetry, ophthalmic photography).
• Assist ophthalmologists during minor surgeries and laser procedures.
• Manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms with the team.
• Administer eye drops as required (Certification recommended).
• Handle clinical and administrative tasks to keep the practice efficient.
