Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing ophthalmology team. You will work closely with ophthalmologists to gather patient information, perform preliminary testing, and administer advanced diagnostics such as OCT and photography.

You will support surgical procedures and help streamline patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms. The ideal candidate has proven ophthalmic technician experience, knowledge of medical office procedures, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Elevate patient care: work with ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information for accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Master ophthalmic testing: conduct preliminary examinations including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Perform advanced diagnostics: administer tests such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in surgical procedures: support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries and laser procedures.
• Streamline patient flow: manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms with clinical staff collaboration.
• Administer eye drops: certification required.
• Contribute to clinic efficiency: handle clinical and administrative tasks for smooth workflow.
