Job summary

Northwest Eye in Maple Grove is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Tech to perform diagnostic testing and assist physicians. This 40-hour/week role involves working M-F, 7am–5pm, with travel to other clinics as needed. Starting pay is $21.00/hour and home base is Maple Grove.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and experience in optometry/ophthalmology; JCAHPO certification and contact lens experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Optometry or ophthalmology experience preferred.
• JCAHPO certification preferred.
• Contact lens experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document ophthalmic testing to support ophthalmic examinations.
• Educate patients regarding diagnostic testing and their clinic visit.
• Open and close exam rooms, ensure equipment is clean and ready for the doctor; stock supplies.
• Inform patients of the purpose of all tests and how they will be affected.
• All other duties as assigned.
