Eye Specialists Of Illinois is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our Park Ridge team on a full-time, weekday schedule (no weekends). The role emphasizes accurate patient histories, testing, and collaborative care in a fast-paced clinic.

You will perform preliminary exams, assist with ophthalmic testing, and support physicians in delivering high-quality patient care. EHR proficiency and strong teamwork are essential, with opportunities for advancement and professional development.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of ophthalmology experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiar with EHR systems.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary exams including histories, visual acuity, lensometry, refractometry, pupil evaluation, EOMs.
• Administers topical ophthalmic or oral medications as directed by physicians.
• Ability to perform diagnostic testing such as OCT, HVF, Topography, A-scan, IOL master and immersion.
• Familiar with ocular medications, terminology, and ocular diseases.
• Documents complete and accurate chart notes.
• Instruct patients about medications, tests, and procedures.
• Knowledge of patient flow and instruments used in office.
