Job summary

Wolfe Eye Clinic is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join a multi-sub-specialty team across Iowa. Responsibilities include documenting patient histories, performing workups, and conducting diagnostic tests such as retinoscopy, refraction, keratometry, tonometry, and OCT/visual fields.

Ideal candidates have ophthalmic experience and can work independently within a team, with travel between clinics required and mileage reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Ophthalmic experience is required.
• Experience in the field is required.

Responsibilities

• Document patients’ medical and ocular histories in the electronic medical record.
• Perform patient workups.
• Complete diagnostic testing, such as retinoscopy, manual refraction, applanation A-scan, keratometry, tonometry, OCTs, and visual fields.
• Provide patient education according to physician instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
