Job summary

Delaware Eye Care Center in Dover, DE is seeking a patient-focused Ophthalmic Technician to support our ophthalmology team in the exam lane and in data entry within the EHR. You will perform pre-exam testing, assist doctors, manage supplies, and educate patients on medications and care. Travel to other offices occasionally may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Willingness to travel to other offices occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist ophthalmologists in the exam lane and input data into the EHR.
• Perform pre-exam testing and document findings per guidelines.
• Input data accurately and maintain patient charts.
• Assist with minor procedures or laser treatments.
• Assist with fitting contact lenses and patient instruction.
• Maintain inventory of medications and supplies.
