Job summary

Northwest Eyes is seeking a Patient Educator-Ophthalmic Technician to join our Seattle-area practice. You will educate patients on premium vision correction options, assist ophthalmologists during exams, and support clinical and administrative teams to deliver a high-quality patient experience.

This role emphasizes education, patient engagement, and helping grow premium services, with full training provided to the right candidate.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of vision correction procedures and technologies.
  • Proven ability in patient education and medical sales, preferably in an ophthalmic setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex medical concepts in patient-friendly language.
  • Proficient in EMR systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and G-Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Explain premium vision correction services to patients and present options.
  • Summarize ocular examinations and treatment recommendations.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow and support clinicians with exams and procedures.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for premium services.
  • Capture new patients and promote premium packages to meet targets.
  • Ensure patients are fully informed before consultations.
