Job summary

Brook Plaza Ophthalmology in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician. You will perform initial exams, run tests (Visual Field, OCT, IOP, Fundus Photo, B-scan, A-scan), and assist physicians.

You’ll enter notes in the EMR system and renew prescriptions as directed while maintaining patient flow and care standards. The role requires 1–2 years of recent ophthalmic tech experience and knowledge of tests for cataracts & glaucoma.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent work experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
• Working knowledge of tests for cataracts & glaucoma.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial examination and obtain patient medical history.
• Conduct tests: Visual Field, OCT, IOP, Fundus Photo, B-scan, A-scan immersions.
